The KOKO's Love video installation changes form dependent on the related videos and the space. For this exhibition, Verge Center for the Arts becomes a physical and mental stage à la a themed high school dance for the everyday doubts, anxieties, hopes, and daydreams that come from living in the Sakimoto family.

The entire video repertoire of KOKO’s Love (three episodes and seven related variety shows/character vignettes), in addition to six new videos, was housed in a 3500 sq. foot space that was transformed firstly into a high school gym and then into a themed dance “The Technicolor Unfairy Tale Ball”. One third of the space was literally in black and white monochrome only to walk through a curtained opening between two moveable walls to reveal an “unfairy tale” world in full technicolor glory. The videos are presented within thematic “lands” in amusement park style.
