"My Escape" is a story told on two levels: one is an exploration of where one’s home lies whether it be steeped in reality or in imagination, and at the same time questioning whether this story can be told in an alternate fashion from the Hollywood method of storytelling. By using its conventions but simultaneously putting a twist to the documentary, music video, mystery/suspense forms, My Escape examines the duality of a fantastic world and its confinement to the tactics presented by pop culture and the media.
