The “Grandma Nightclub” is one component of a future video installation “Grandma Entertainment Franchise (GEF)” that will also include a grandma day spa and a grandma amusement park. There will be a total of three videos playing within the “Grandma Nightclub”—one music video on the dancefloor and two, one each, in the individual restroom stalls. The “Grandma Nightclub Music Video” is a way to celebrate and honor the senior populations and the activities not typically associated with them. I assume the role of five dancing grandmas with the up-tempo and sexual nature of the songs to bring attention to the vitality of the elderly, speaking of ageism embedded in systems of capitalism and entertainment.
